Remember the Jacket front length will normally be 0.50"/1.27cm longer at the front than than the back.

43). Overcoat Back Length Measurement

For both of these measurements we recommend wearing a Jacket if possible.

The back length measurement should be taken by placing the tape measure at the back of the neck just on the shirt collar in the 2nd image. And letting the tape measure fall down the back straight recording your desired overcoat length.

Side note, the most common overcoat length is three quarters in length recording the measurement down to the back of the knee. Alternatively it could be a pea coat which is normally around the height of the widest point of thigh.

Additional note, do please remember to measure longer than your Jacket being worn underneath.
